A Basis For True Change

The basis for true change is freedom from negativity.

And that’s what acceptance implies: no negativity about what is.

And then you see what this moment requires: what is it that is required now so that life can express itself more fully?

Your True Evolution

Your true evolution is not what you do out there.

That’s secondary.

Your true evolution is to do with the arising of awareness in you as you go about your life.

Spiritual Truths

The perennial philosophy of spiritual truths runs through from the most ancient times to now; the same truths coming in different words, different forms.

It’s the truth of awakening: living in alignment with the greater intelligence; the truth of surrender to the present moment; the truth of letting go of imposing stories on reality, and waking up to sanity.

Surrendering to What is..

Use whatever challenge comes into your life as a kind of fuel for the flame of consciousness.
That is done through surrender to what is.
Some people may need more of that than others.
If you choose presence in your daily life you may not need the drastic challenges.

Impermanence

‘The amazing thing about impermanence is that the realization of it opens up in you the dimension of space or stillness, when it is not resisted.

This is why many spiritual teachings point to the fact of impermanence of all form as a teaching device, because the moment you see how fleeting everything is and don’t resist it, something in you feels spacious and peaceful.’

Resisting Life

Using your logic means to live in alignment with the universal intelligence.

You cannot live in alignment with that if you resist life, if you resist what is, if you complain about life, or have a quarrel with the present moment.

Life and Meaning

What determines ultimately whether your life has meaning or not is whether the dimension of depth the stillness, the spaciousness, the formless essence whether you realize that within yourself.
Or whether your life is consumed completely by the world of form, which includes the thinking mind.

Consuming Truth

For the time being, I gave up writing, there is already too much truth in the world…an over-production which, apparently cannot be consumed.

God and Slave

It seems to be difficult for the individual to realize that there exists a division between one’s spiritual and purely human needs, and that the satisfaction or fulfillment for each has to be found in different spheres. As a rule, we find the two aspects hopelessly confused in modern relationships, where one person is made the godlike judge over good and bad in the other person. In the long run, such symbiotic relationship becomes demoralizing for both parties, for it is just as unbearable to be God as it is to remain an utter slave.

Choosing A Master

For anyone who is alone, without God, and without a master, the weight of days is dreadful. Hence, one must choose a master, God being out of style…

Incapable Men

Men, incapable of liberty, who cannot stand the terror of the sacred that manifests itself before their open eyes, must turn to mystery, must hide the truth.

Neurosis and Psychosis

Neurosis and Psychosis are modes of expression for human beings who have lost courage.

Anyone who has acquired this much insight will thenceforth refrain from undertaking with persons in this state of discouragement tedious excursions into mysterious regions of the psyche.

Modes of Thinking

Modes of thinking, such as love, desire, or any other of the passions, do not take place, unless there be in the same individual an idea of the thing loved, desired. But the idea can exist without the presence of any other mode of thinking.

Knowledge of the First Kind

Knowledge of the first kind is the only source of falsity, knowledge of the second and third kinds is necessarily true.

Cause and Effect

From a given definite cause an effect necessarily follows; and, on the other hand, if no definite cause be granted, it is impossible that an effect can follow.

“The whole order of things fills me with a sense of anguish, from the gnat to the mysteries of incarnation; all is entirely unintelligible to me, and particularly my own person. Great is my sorrow, without limits. None knows of it, except God in Heaven, and He cannot have pity.”
